Well it was raining all afternoon, even had some sleet and hail but that didn't stop me clocking up 9 miles, wanted to do more but legs wouldn't go on. Will try and step it up for next week so no bike this week to save the legs for Reading. Only 3 weeks to go and nearly there for the distance, done more training for this on then Gosport so legs should work OK.
Got my eyes on a new bike just need the funds, work is picking up so looks like i will be riding in a week or so. Also getting a Garmin watch so I can look the part.
Still not swimming, going on Tuesday morning for first swim.
Got the training book (FINK) so ready to IRONMAN training for real.
Training is stepping up and starting to hurt, distance is getting longer, 8 sessions a week now early morning runs and swims but it will be worth it.

10 mile Training Run
Just got in from my first 10 mile run during training, feel good with no pains (Yet).
Only managed one more run this week that was a 3 miler on Wednesday. Four weeks to go till Reading 1/2 so will put in another 10 miler next week, 12 the week after 8 mile the week before.
Need to get cycling as this will be the toughest leg of the IM, got some nice routes planned out just need a bike. Something to get stuck into after Reading I think. Im feeling good about the whole training and looking forward to increasing the time and distance soon.
Still have not get swimming, trying to get this sorted this week.

8.5 Miles
Have reached a new mile stone this week with the long run on Sunday up to 8.5 miles. Still felt good after the run and could of clocked a few more miles. went to the Tri show Saturday looking for bikes but not much in my price range there all 2k plus. Still my LBS (Local bike shop) have offered a deal so will save up the pennies and go there.
Just bought a training book so I can make sure im on target, went to the pool yesterday to get a swimming pass but no one there to help me, going back toninght so should be swimming in the morning.
10 mile run this weekend getting ready for Reading 5 weeks. Need a bike as im behind on that side.

Training update
Well, my legs have recovered from the Gosport 1/2 and christmas has been and gone, we are now into Febuary and the training is picking up.
Today is a long day, thats where I will try and do my longest run of the week so just finished todays training and managed to do a 7.3 mile run and 1hr on the spinning bike. Legs are really tight but overall I feel good. Tomorrow is a rest day so no training at all.
Six weeks to the Reading half so only 5 weeks of training as the last week will be a rest week with a park run on the Saturday.
Last weeks park run 5k time trial I managed in 27.27 not a PB but still a good time.
Next weekend we are off to the Triathalon show at Sandown Park, hope to get some usefull info and find a cheep bike, need to start out on the road and clock up some miles.

I will keep the BLOG upto date from now as my training kicks in with only 32 weeks of training left before IRONMAN WALES
